Can you recommend a couple nice, pretty, challenging courses in a Palm Springs that aren’t going to break the bank? My traveling partners and I are members at The Farms in San Diego, so we are used to a challenging track. Looking for a challenging course that’s in great condition. Thx!!!

There’s so much good golf out there, it’s almost hard to go wrong. This time of year, everything should be in excellent shape. At the same time, you’ll get peak season prices. Since The Farms has Pete Dye roots, you can obviously attempt PGA West Stadium for a super challenge. The Nicklaus course there is awesome, too. The courses I like most, though, are all both beautiful and challenging. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Classic Club, SilverRock, Indian Wells Resort (Celebrity) and Desert Willow (Firecliff). Shadow Ridge is another great one that you might get a better deal at right now.

You can check out my regional list and I’ve reviewed all the public courses there along with a few privates. Of course, you might be able to work some reciprocal play at one of the many excellent clubs out there. I’ve only played a handful, but those I have played are also reviewed on that page. Hope this helps.
