Golf Nomad Regional Course Rankings: Gulf Coast Region

(Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi)

I grouped these states together as I visited all these courses on one trip through the region, so it makes sense to rank them with one another. From the famed Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama to the surprising variety of Louisiana, there’s a lot of good golf in this area. Fallen Oak in Mississippi tops my list, narrowly edging out the next few below it from the RTJ Trail.

These rankings are based on my impressions of the overall design, scenery and relative value combined with more measurable elements such as conditioning, facilities and customer service (taking into account my personal experience(s) at the course and general word-of-mouth).

Keep in mind when clicking on any active review links below that often I review multiple courses in the same article, so sometimes you have to scroll down in the story to find the course listed here.
